GP Management Plans and Mental Health Plans are available at our clinic. There is a process we work through according to Medicare requirements. The plans will not be generated on the day of request unless previously requested.
- You request a plan at your consultation.
- This request is given to appropriate administration staff to:
- Check your eligibility with Medicare.
- If you are eligible, we will send you a Hot Doc Health message with the Medicare approval.
- If you wish to continue, you can then call the clinic to make an appointment to have these plans created.
When you ring for an appointment for one of these plans, it is in your best interests to let our reception know, so they can make the appropriate appointment time for you. They do require a longer consultation.
*Medicare is changing how they are funding Chronic disease management access to all GP Management plans and Allied Health access. In the near future these services will only be available and bulk-billed to those patients who are registered through MYMEDICARE with their usual GP. If you have a chronic condition and would like to be able to access these types of services, when registration is available, please register through Medicare to see either Dr Heyning or Dr Rockliff Boehm.
