Australian Privacy legislation states that all steps must be taken to ensure communication of sensitive Health information is Safe and Secure.
Email IS NOT a secure form of communication.Our medical indemnity has advised us not to do so.Therefore, to protect your privacy, once we have your written permission to do so , our practice restricts electronic communication to only non-sensitive information, for example, recalls and reminders.All other communication between our practice and you is via direct telephone ,fax or post.
* SMS is only used for non-sensitive and generic information such as appointment reminders.
