Ethics and Research

Our practice has all research approved by an ethics committee and indemnified.

Our Practice participates in various research an data collection activities for analysis to assist us with providing care to you. This is usually completed through de-identified material ( patients names are not recorded) .

Our two main areas for research and data collection/analysis are National prescribing Service and the Primary Health Care Network (North Coast).

  • We keep evidence of ethics approval and indemnity for research activities and maintain records of any research activity that has gone through the ethics approval process. For all other research,if we require your signature , we always retain documentation of patients’ consent for the required period and take steps to ensure your privacy is firmly secured.
